Hi webyu,

It's very nice to have your help. At the moment, I'm having trouble with Seagate SATA drive 250 GB, producing slight knocking sound (not very heard, except you put the HDD near your ear), still detected in BIOS. PC3K PCI firmware area scanning is OK. Already backup everything.. I supposed it's an MHA problem, but I don't have clean room to replace the MHA.
I need to recover the data. I tried using PCI Data Extractor, the directory/root can be seen in the explorer mode but when I tried to copy/recover the data, DE reports LBA bad and refuse to copy the data. I tried to repair the bad (almost 50,000 sectors) using HDD Regenerator and other tools, but no luck. Even I use the old PC 3000 AT Automatic defect relocation, the drive hangs.

Also tried drive imaging using CopyR.DMA, PC3K DE (both ISA and PCI) even Kessender, but the drive imaging take very-very long time. It's like going to take a whole millenium to image the drive...

Any suggestion, webyu ?
